my parents wedding

yeah i know..sounds funny. but that is exactly what we had a week ago. Mom and Dad had thier 25th wedding anniversary and they renewed their wows in a church ceremony. it was so nice to watch the parents celebrate their love and for all the family to be here to witness it....

and here is the final cut of our commercial.

it is a parody of Croatian tourist board commercials.. so it is purposly so cheesy, bit trashy and 80's like.. the end tag line says "Small country for a great beer". a very famous tag line of croatian national tourist board few years ago was "Small country for a great holiday". to sum it up.. we play with all that croatia is famous for: great historical monuments (nad we see chinese ppl taking pic of beer), then quality wine (and germans toast w/ beer), them maritime treasures and we see czech's chilling beer in the sea, sport talents (old people playing Bocca), croatian hospitality (native stealing last beer from tired tourist), and summer temps of 3 celzius (reffering to cold beer)

my mpg is low resolution since it was just one for clients approval but you can see what we have in the end

work work work....

work work work is actually the moto of BBDO worldwide.. and last few months i learned it well :)
however i know i have been nagging about all the work i have and stress as well but today i would love to share the fun in what i do.. yes after work work work there comes fun fun fun. and in my business the topping is the shoot of commercials.
it is such fun to actually after months of gruelling meetings wih clients (brief, firs presentation of creative, second, third, meeting with production house, cost estimates, PPM (pre productionmeeting), casting, etc) to actually go and shoot the idea.

well we had shoot two weeks ago.. and it was great. we were shooting at coast we had 6 different locations. 2 in Split (town on coast) and rest on the isalnd of Bol. it was so much fun. yes it was bit hard to shoot from 8 am till sunset but we had so much fun. i was connected on laptop cell phone and screens majority of time but it is so much easier to work when your toes are dipped in sea :). ahhh lovely.

and we had beer stylist from england who was impressed with our shoot. he said the quality was as high as in UK but the people were more relaxed and easy going (hm guess if my commercial was 1.500.000 bristish pounds instead of croatian kunas we'd hae less sense of humor ;))) )

anyways not to bore you more here is the fun in my work..

work is kill lately. i am seriously thinking "do i really need this in my life". by this i mean stress. lately its been really overwhelming. i've been in the office from 9 am till 10 pm. one day i was in till 11.30 pm. it is crazy. no wonder social life is non existing lately. all i do wheni get home is crash i am seriously sleep deprived.. hecki am to young to have heart attack.. :).. uff no really i am rethinking the priorities in my life lately... i sort of feel stuck in a moment and dont see way out. all i do is being burried in work and then sleep.. i need a change. or a good vacation :)))))..
i think i deserve to treat my self with a big trip this year so i will star looking into traviling overseas :) yippi yeeeah:)

on the lighter note.. here are smore photos from the trip we took with BBDO. we went to opatija (coast town) for FESTO (national advertising festival). we won few prizes and were all in all agency nr. 3 in country.. no to bad:)
well it was quite the party for 2,5 days. but it could have been better :)

ahh i need to be better in this

again i never come around doing post. but never miss to check other blogs even couple of times a day. i believe subconciusly i think work work work is not thath fun to read about (and trust me not that fun to do as well )

well on labour day weekend we went a little cruise round inland.. well more like moved from BBQ to BBQ :).. was ok and relaxing

while others stressed about food Maja and were takeing it easy :)


weekend after we went to slovenia for some shopping in Zara and H&M..(was successful i got 2 pairs of shoes, jeans shorts, dress and some nice shirts). in the returned we stopped at cottage from Markos mom.. real nice.. i enoyed flowers and picked nice buque for mothers day :)



first nice pose with flowewrs. then they said to be really pretty because this looks like closes to a bride i will be in a while.. well i started cracking up.. Friends... whatr to do but love them hehhehe

hoopy belated Easter

hey there,

again happy belated Easter. work has been a real pain last few weeks. well this is a sort of normal pre-summer period but since i do work of 2 ppl now i'm dead tired. on the other hand time flies by. it's been real nice and warm here last couple of weeks, so i had an unconvectional Easter.
My best friend from office Maja, her boyfirend Marko and i went sailing for 4,5 half days . it was great. weather was beautiful and warm and i actually swam. the sea was 15 celzius but heck i couldn't resist. (well swim isn't really a name for it. it was more like i jumped in 3 times and was even faster at climbing back out)

we went from Split (biggest coast town) and then sailed to islands of Hvar , Korcula (birth island of Marco Polo), and Mljet.

look at the pics below. we were just discussing how we sometimes take our homecountry for granted.. it is indeed so beautiful. it always amazes me... it is definatlly a place to come and visit.
Don't forget my doors are always open.. plus we have a nice sea house so ....Beth you better make it here :)
